The CORE needs assessment analysed current clinical practice and attitudes to the diagnosis, treatment, management and multidisciplinary approach to heart failure.
Why was a needs assessment essential?
Credible education addresses real clinical problems – making it relevant and practical. CORE is based on professional gaps identified in the CORE needs assessment, which was essential because it:
- ensures that key learning objectives are founded on real, unmet professional needs
- is vital for CME accreditation*
- provides baseline data that can be used to measure effectiveness of education
- affirms the learning preferences and needs of different audience groups
*CME-accreditation application is currently in process.
